The memorable quote that most i like :
Henry Jacson : Hi, Peter!
Peter Parker : Hey, Henry! You've grown tall.
May Parker : You'll never guess who he wants to be... Spider-Man!
Peter Parker : Why?
May Parker : He knows a hero when he sees one. Too few characters out there, flying around like that, saving old girls like me. And Lord knows, kids like Henry need a hero. Courageous, self-sacrificing people. Setting examples for all of us. Everybody loves a hero. People line up for them, cheer them, scream their names. And years later, they'll tell how they stood in the rain for hours just to get a glimpse of the one who taught them how to hold on a second longer. I believe there's a hero in all of us, that keeps us honest, gives us strength, makes us noble, and finally allows us to die with pride, even though sometimes we have to be steady, and give up the thing we want the most. Even our dreams.
It just reminds me… To a group of people who try to be a hero in my previous college... they sometime feels tired, they should fasten their belt just to keep their stomach from hungry, no money to buy some foods, because their money have bartered with a bundle of bulletins.. And distribute it to all class; hopefully these sheets could deliver some hidayah to its readers. They also got a bad mark like Peter Parker was. Some of them even can not continuing their study or get any others materials advantageous.
However, Muhammad SAW and the first generation of Islamic community are the greatest and the realest heroes ever. They were a very perfect example in sacrificing. They save a lot of people from the darkness of jahiliyah into brighter life in Islam, some of them even lost their soul, self-sacrificing, and suffering for a long time under political and economical embargo, they facing dead in every single war as a contrariness to the toghut. Against the evil who always want to make people disoriented from what have Allah ordered...
They got a great deal of dignity, like what have Allah Subhanahu WaTa’ala said:
Of the believers are men who are true to that which they covenanted with Allah. Some of them have paid their vow by death (in battle), and some of them still are waiting; and they have not altered in the least (QS Al-Ahzab : 23)
~iugee~ In commemoration of Indonesian Independence Day, who still awaits heroes to safe this beautiful and also awful country. This post was dedicated to my beloved brothers and sisters who try to be dignified as a hero, taking a risk, and self-struggling from the temptation of just being ordinary.
